Future Founders VR Fellowship, is a virtual reality production program focusing on skill-building in a culturally responsive environment. The program offers a $2k summer stipend for youth age 16-24 to meet for 5 hours twice a week over the months of July and August to learn the skills to use the new Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine with HTC-Vive Cosmos VR sets to tell a story in VR about the Black Seattle Pioneer William Grose, the upcomming William Grose Center for Cultural Innovation and Enterprise being commemorated in his honor, Â and the Central District as they relate to Black culture. After completing the program, participants will have the skills necessary to produce virtual reality experiences using Unreal Engine 5, a leading graphics engine used by Hollywood and Tripple-A title videogame design studios.Â
